TexPlex UTV Race Series Rules

2021 TexPlex UTV Racing Series Rules

The following rules and regulations are solely applicable to the TexPlex Texas UTV Racing series events. Please direct any questions to TexPlex Park.
  1. GENERAL
  1. Format: UTV/SXS racing will follow a two Moto format (MX).
    1. Number of Laps will be pre-determined at each event based on the overall length of the track layout. All classes race two motos, and the scores from each moto are combined to determine the overall winner. The scoring system for a race event will be in accordance with the Olympic System, that is: In Motocross, each moto will be scored separately. The 1st place rider will receive 1 point, 2nd place – 2 points, 3rd place – 3 points, etc. All riders who take the checkered flag UNDER POWER (no pushing across) will receive a score, regardless of the number of laps they have completed. Riders who complete over 50% of the required number of laps per moto but are unable to take the checkered flag UNDER POWER will also receive a finish position. The driver completing the 2 Motos with the lowest points will be considered the winner. In the event of a tie the driver with the better score in moto two will take the advantage.
    2. There are several flags that you will see waving throughout the day.
  • The Green Flag- The Start of the Race
  • The Yellow Flag – Caution flag to signify a disabled racer or obstruction on the course. No Passing under a yellow flag
